With over 30 events over the first week of term, kicking off from when you arrive on campus, Freshers’ Festival is your introduction to the Students’ Union and everything it has to offer.

We highly recommend that you get your tickets or wristbands before coming to university to avoid disappointment. Freshers’ Festival is one of our biggest events of the year, selling out in advance in all the prior years we’ve held it.

Wristbands are now sold out, but you can still purchase individual tickets for some events.

Wristbands

We want Freshers’ Festival to be as accessible as possible for all of our students. That’s why every year we include more free events than you know what to do with, and put on wristband deals so you can get the most for your money.

What's included

In addition to all marked Freshers’ Festival events, both wristbands give you an exclusive 50% discount voucher to use at The Packhorse or Tommy’s Kitchen. You’ll also get free access to all of Royal Holloway Sport’s group exercise classes throughout the week, plus a tidy £15 off membership when you sign up during Freshers. That’s not all, you’ll also get 50% off an official Royal Holloway hoody during Freshers’ Festival. Splash out on the gold wristband and you’ll also bag your entry to the biggest night of the week - Freshers’ Ball, featuring Philip George and more.

Collecting Your Wristband

After you have purchased a wristband you can collect it from the Students' Union Helpdesk (on the first floor) at the following times:

Saturday 22 - Sunday 23 September

Union Helpdesk - 08:00 to 20:00

Monday 24 - Saturday 29 September

Union Helpdesk - 09:00 to 20:00

Please note that additional ticket holders need to be present when exchanging for a wristband and wristbands must be placed on your arm at the time of collection. We cannot refund any wristbands that are lost between collection and the event start so please look after your wristband.

Logging into our website
If you already have your Campus Connect login details then you can use these to access our website and add wristbands and term passes to your basket and checkout with no issue. However, if you do not have your details you will need to create a guest account in order to purchase items. If not, you'll get an error message stating you require an Honorary or Associate Membership when you review your basket - ignore this. Simply follow the link below and fill out the form and you'll be on your way to a week of bants.

Be aware of fake events.

Keep an eye out for any deals that look too good to be true and be wary of anything you see on Facebook. One that we see every year is events in central London in the form of coach trips being touted to Royal Holloway students, this isn't something the Students' Union offers and are all hosted by external companies. The only place you'll be able to purchase tickets for official events is on our website or at our Helpdesk. Always check for our logo and check in with our team on social media if you're unsure.

Union Bus passes

We're committed to getting you home safely after a night out. Our Union Bus service runs during every club night in term time, starting at 22:00 and finishing once everyone is home - including our student staff. You can grab a ticket on the night for £1, or for those of you that like to plan in advance you can buy your annual pass during Freshers' Festival for just £15, saving you £5 on the standard price.
