A lot happens under our roof. From sports, societies and volunteering to big nights, intimate gigs and meals out with mates – and that’s just a small selection of what’s on offer in your Students’ Union.

Represent

Become a bear and don the Royal Holloway colours as a member of one of over 35 sports clubs. Not only do you have the opportunity to compete in the British Universities and College Sport (BUCS) leagues against other institutions but you’ll be making friends for life borne out of sweat, grit and hard graft on the pitch.

Be Social

Ever fancied becoming a fire eater? Hell, it’s a great party trick if you master it and while we’re not promising anything it’s definitely a possibility if you join a society. With over 80 to choose from there’s bound to be one that piques your interest and if not; we’ll help you create one such as cake and tea society… not that we’re dropping hints or anything.

Give Back

Changing the world around you is a rather grand statement but we like it. We like it because it’s actually all about the little things that you can change in order to make a big change. Step forward Community Action, the volunteering team here on campus. These guys organise tons of opportunities for you to help out in the local community while learning new skills in the process.

Stand Up

There’s nothing wrong with being passionate and having an opinion on something. In fact we actively encourage it and give you the tools to make change on campus and beyond. Through our Bright Ideas platform you can crowd share your ideas no matter how big or small while our elected sabbatical officers are here to lead the Students’ Union on campaigns.
