To celebrate the national theme for Women’s History Month, "Moving Forward Together: Women Educating & Inspiring Generations", we’re thrilled to invite you on a journey of recognising and honouring extraordinary women.

Women’s History Month is finally here, and that means it’s time for us to come together to reflect on the past, celebrate achievements of the present, and honour the remarkable contributions of women who will shape the future and inspire generations. The month is led by VP Education – Madelaine Gray, VP Wellbeing & Diversity – Olivia Davies, and Women Students Community Officer – Poppy Coates, alongside Feminism Society.

To make this month truly unforgettable, we’ve curated weekly themes that bring a different perspective to each week and spread joy throughout the month:

Week 1: Dive into RHUL’s rich history as we spotlight the amazing women who walked these halls and paved the way for future generations. Events such as a campus tour and a panel inviting notable alumni and offering opportunities to learn about the legacy we’re all a part of.

Week 2: Get your game face on as we celebrate women in sport with ALS! Join ALS for active sessions, a networking session with Netball, and a Sports Day with Feminism Society that showcase the strength, determination, and teamwork of women in sport.

Week 3: A powerful week led by International Students Community Officer, Farha dedicated to recognising Women of Colour who have tirelessly advocated for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. This week features vibrant cultural events, inspiring guest speakers, and collaborative discussions where we learn, grow, and celebrate together.

Week 4: We’ll wrap up the month by embracing the national theme, shining a spotlight on women who inspire generations. From mentoring sessions to creative storytelling, this week is all about honouring those who educate, uplift, and empower us to build a better future.

Throughout the month, we’ll be collaborating with Feminism Society and most significantly, we will be collaborating to take to the stage for the arrival of the much-anticipated, Women’s Creativity Showcase. You can sign up to take part in the Showcase via the Women’s Creativity Showcase Sign Up Form.

We invite you to join us in celebrating extraordinary women who have shaped our past, present, and future. Let's celebrate diversity, promote inclusion, and empower one another to create a world where all women can thrive.

For more information about the campaign or to chat about anything related to the Women Students Community, reach out to us via Voice@rhul.ac.uk, or drop by one of our events advertised below to connect with our friendly students and staff.

Here’s to a month of learning, sharing, and celebrating together—Happy Women’s History Month!
