March is here, it's that special time of the year when we reflect, celebrate, and honour the remarkable achievements and contributions of women throughout history. I have been working closely with Olivia, our Women Students Community Officer to bring you a campaign that will inform, entertain and bring us all together.
This year, we have decided to focus on a different theme during each week of Women's History Month.
During the first week, we will shine a spotlight on women who have dedicated their lives to advocating for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. From student volunteers to staff members, we will celebrate their efforts in creating a more inclusive world for all.
Women's health and mental wellbeing are crucial aspects of our overall feeling of empowerment. From 11-15 March, we will raise awareness about women's health issues and mental healthcare provision.
The fight for women's rights has been ongoing for centuries, and it continues to evolve today. In Week 3, we will honour the courageous women who have fought – and continue to fight – for gender equality, reproductive rights, and social justice. Join us as we acknowledge their resilience and amplify their voices.
In the final week of Women's History Month, we will turn our focus to the incredible women within our community to celebrate the achievements and contributions that enrich our lives and inspire us every day.
Throughout Women's History Month, we invite you to join us in celebrating extraordinary women who have shaped our past, present, and future. Let's celebrate diversity, promote inclusion, and empower one another to create a world where all women can thrive.
Happy Women's History Month!
