20-26 January 2025

Get ready for Drug and Alcohol Awareness Week 2025, where we’re bringing you a mix of fun events, practical tips, and eye-opening discussions about alcohol and drug use.

This week kicks off SU President, Sharanya’s, HelpNotHarm campaign. HelpNotHarm is a campaign which aims to promoting safety, health, and dignity for individuals navigating substance use and risky behaviours. Our mission is to minimize harm through practical, compassionate approaches that put people first, offering non-judgmental support and lifesaving resources.

Whether you're learning how to enjoy a night out without the booze or getting hands-on with some Mocktail Making, we’ve got a lineup designed to make you think about your relationship with alcohol and drugs in a fresh, approachable way. We get it—there’s a lot of pressure out there to drink or try something new, but we want you to feel confident, safe, and supported. If you're ever feeling unsure or need to talk (for yourself or a friend), we’ve got your back with confidential, judgment-free support. Remember, you're never alone in this, and there’s always someone to listen and help you out. Let’s look out for each other this week and beyond!
