The Sun newspaper does not represent the values placed forward by the university or its student union, and further it has repeatedly spread false information and refused to hold itself to a higher regard. Although the freedom to consume media should be up to one's own discretion, the blatant disregard from the newspaper organisation to produce meaningful discussion and instead spread vitriol gives a good case for it's dismissal.
