About Us
Welcome to Royal Holloway Ice Skating Club! We are an inclusive sports society that welcomes all ice skating abilities so there is something for everyone. We offer coached lessons, casual public sessions, Ice discos, and off-ice socials!!
Sessions
We are at the ice rink every Wednesday afternoon, so feel free to join us whenever you can.
One of our most popular events are the Friday Ice Discos held at the ice rink, where you can skate under some disco lights and listen to your favourite songs! We normally host this once a month, so you definitely don't want to miss this.

Lessons
We offer coached lessons every Wednesday afternoon, at the same time as our public sessions (but you are not obligated to purchase a lesson, you can just come to skate!). We offer lessons for Levels 1-5. Availability for each level varies weekly due to availability and interest, so please make sure to keep an eye out in the whatsapp.
Lessons cost an additional £6 per week.
We are already looking into hiring another coach for Term 2 - so if you are a higher level skater, please stick around!! We have not forgotten about you :)
If you are unsure of your level, click here to see which applies to you. Furthermore, we can assess your skills and determine what level you are, just drop us a message or ask one of the committee members at a public session.
Travel
Our committee members Anna & Kamila provide car lifts at an additional cost of £3 per week. There will be a button on our website every week for you to purchase a seat. However, this will be on a first come first serve basis so make sure to buy yours ahead of time!
You can also get the 8 bus to Slough and walk to the Ice Rink, which takes roughly 50 mins. Some society members may also offer rides, so make sure you are in our Whatsapp groupchat so you can sort it out with them, and find some other skaters to travel with!
Memberships
Our standard membership (£5) includes public skate sessions, ice discos and showcases for the whole year.
If you wish to take part in lessons you will need to purchase our weekly lesson top up (£6)!
Please note that in addition to this, you will have to buy ice time at Slough Ice Arena - check our instagram highlight "Get Involved" to find out how to do this!

Showcase
We are hoping to hold another showcase this year as our last one was a success! More information on this will be announced in our Ice Skating whatsapp chat, but we will be hoping to have a group routine and some solos and duos, so get practising! Available to all skill levels!
