Welcome to the Writing Society at Royal Holloway! We are a passionate and inclusive community dedicated to all things creative writing. Whether you're a seasoned writer, an aspiring novelist, a poet, or just someone who loves to dabble in storytelling, our society offers a supportive space for you to explore and develop your craft.
Our activities range from weekly writing sessions to movie nights with guest speaker sessions, bringing in published authors and industry professionals to inspire and share their insights on the writing world.
At the Writing Society, we believe that writing is for everyone, regardless of background or experience. Our aim is to foster creativity, provide constructive feedback, and build a vibrant community where members can form connections, collaborate on projects, and grow as writers. Membership
Purchasing a membership to Writing Society will give you access to all our normal workshops and special events. Our membership fee for 2024/25 will be £5, and this will contribute to the running of the society.
Weekly Workshops and Socials
Our weekly sessions will be held on campus between 6PM and 7PM every Wednesday (with a break during reading week). Our socials will be announced on our social media.
Events and Activities
Over the course of the year, we plan to host a range of events, including:

· Sessions with authors
· Movie Nights based on books
