About us

Our society is a religious society which strives to offer a 'safe haven' for students at university from any religious background. The social and religious events we do throughout all 3 terms allow students to get to know each other better as well as dwell on what our religion teaches us.

By joining this committee you will not only have fun but you will make an ever lasting bond with the people you meet as well as our historically rich and unique religion.

Membership

Our membership structure is quite simple to follow, all students that want to be members of the committee will have to pay a small fee of £7 on the SU website. By becoming a member of our committee you will contribute to the funding that helps hold events within university.

As well as that, you will be able to contribute in our WhatsApp group chat and help us plan events that you think will be best suited for students at university.

Events and Activities

Over the course of the year we are planning to host a wide number of events with social distancing measures such as:

• Bowling/Ice-skating/Restaurant socials
• Langar on campus (Free food on campus)
• Kirtan (Singin Holy Hymns) Programmes
• Gurdwara (Temple) visits
• Talks on Sikhism
• Inter-uni sports tournaments
• Paintballing/Go-Karting
• Trip to Snowdonia (Nishaan)
