About us

We are a collective of students that exist as an inclusive cross left-ideology organisation in order to help establish a left wing presence and voice across campus.

We meet at least once a week to have conversations, plan out activism and educate around particular topics via organising lectures and events, as well as social events.

We aim to be involved in campus politics and out of campus activism. As a group, we intend to support other students with our resources and encourage a safe space for them to participate.

Membership

Our membership fee helps us to arrange guest speakers and arrange trips outside of campus to protests and other events of activism. At a low fee you are also able to access such platforms as our Discord server, where we share memes and discuss a variety of topics.

Events and Activities

We run events weekly, and have a mixture of accessible educational events, discussions and debates around a particular topic, workshops and social events. There will also be a reading group which will focus on easily available and understandable pieces of media.

Contact Us

You are welcome to contact us through our social media platforms on Facebook and Instagram. We will be sharing further information about our plans for events through these platforms, but feel free to contact us if you would like to hear any more about us or what we have planned!

Community Elections 2025

This election will elect all student leaders within our student communities. These communities include Societies, Sports Clubs, Media Outlets, Academic Communities, and Inclusion Communities. You will also elect members of our Societies, Sports and Opportunities (SSO) Executive, who work with the VP Societies and Sport to develop policy and plans in their area of engagement. We will also be reopening nominations for the EPMS, Humanities and Law and Social Sciences (LSS) School Reps. For Student Groups, you must be a current Royal Holloway student and a fully paid, standard member of the group to vote. To vote for a Community Officer, students must self-identify with the relevant inclusion community on the RHSU website (in settings). In order to vote for a School Rep, you must belong to the relevant academic school. Please ensure you are logged in to your SU account to cast your votes. If you encounter any issues, please email marketing@su.rhul.ac.uk for assistance.

1251 posts are up for election.

Nominations close at 23:59 on Friday 9 May 2025 (in 12 days)

The polls open at 12:00 on Tuesday 13 May 2025 (in 16 days)
