Band

Our aim is to get as many musicians as possible playing together, performing, sharing song ideas, and socialising. Additionally, BandSoc is a way for members to meet like-minded musicians and rehearse together. Hopefully there will be a high amount of creativity within this society, and we are aiming to group together as many musicians as possible. All people are welcome to join. The society is not limited to musicians at all. If you enjoy music in any way then Band Society will allow you to socialise with other students who are equally enthusiastic about music. We will also offer music tuition for instruments such as piano and guitar for those who are interested. We are a brand new society and we would love to have you join us!

Regular meeting times

Every week we offer the chance for students to jam together! Whether you've just started learning or you're an expert, youll be sure to enjoy these! Some weeks will be open jam sessions open to everyone but some other weeks they'll be more focussed and only open to members where you can learn how to play in band, if you didnt know how, and or have the chance to express your creativity and have the opporutnity to form bands!

Rehersal Bookings, Tuition and Events

Rehersal rooms are available on a case by case basis this year. So just message on facebook or email us.The cost for booking is as follows:

Shows / Performances

We will give a chance for bands to play in gigs around campus and pubs all year round and we will have a summer concert at the end of the academic year. A showcase event will aim to be at the end of every term where people can just display their talents!
