HELLO AND WELCOME!!!

We are Royal Holloway's Alternative Fashion and Music society! We aim to create a strong community of alternative people on campus and enure an welcoming atmosphere where people are free to express themselves how they wish. We don't discriminate whether you are Emo, Punk, Goth, Scene or whatever label (or lack thereof) you identify with! All of us at AltSoc wish to welcome everyone!

Membership

We want to keep our events as accessible to everybody as possible. Memberships help us cover costs and put on better events but we treat them more as a voluntary donation than a requirement

Autumn Elections 2026

This election will fill positions for our remaining Community Officers, who represent underrepresented groups of students on campus, and our remaining Department Reps, who will work alongside the VP Education to support academic representation. This election will also fill any remaining Student Group positions and introduce Union Council to the student body, with students electing their representatives.
