Welcome to the Women in STEM Society at Royal holloway! We are a dedicated community committed to advancing women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Here's an overview of our society, the opportunities we offer, and our membership options:

The Women in STEM Society is a student society aimed at fostering inclusivity, diversity, and professional growth within the STEM disciplines. Our community comprises driven individuals, both students and professionals, dedicated to supporting and uplifting women in their STEM fields.

 

- What We Offer:

Professional Development: Engage in exclusive workshops, seminars, and networking events tailored to enhance your skills and broaden your career prospects in STEM.

Community Outreach: Participate in impactful outreach programs, contributing to the promotion of STEM education and inspiring the next generation of female leaders.

Speaker Series: Attend enlightening talks by accomplished women in STEM, gaining valuable perspectives and inspiration from their experiences.

Skill-building Activities: Sharpen your skills through participation in hands-on projects, coding challenges, and collaborative initiatives.

 

- Membership Options:

Standard Membership : £0

Access to all events, workshops, and networking opportunities.

Social Membership: £3

All Standard Membership benefits.

Priority access to social events, mixers, and networking sessions.

Community Elections 2025

This election will elect all student leaders within our student communities. These communities include Societies, Sports Clubs, Media Outlets, Academic Communities, and Inclusion Communities. You will also elect members of our Societies, Sports and Opportunities (SSO) Executive, who work with the VP Societies and Sport to develop policy and plans in their area of engagement. We will also be reopening nominations for the EPMS, Humanities and Law and Social Sciences (LSS) School Reps. For Student Groups, you must be a current Royal Holloway student and a fully paid, standard member of the group to vote. To vote for a Community Officer, students must self-identify with the relevant inclusion community on the RHSU website (in settings). In order to vote for a School Rep, you must belong to the relevant academic school. Please ensure you are logged in to your SU account to cast your votes.
