East African

 Who we are: 

  • The East African Society is a student-run organization that aspires to unite all East African RHUL students and anyone else fascinated by the culture. We provide a space in which students can meet, socialize, and build connections while studying in the UK. 

 

We aim to:  

  • We aim to create a key reference point for students who are adjusting to the different lifestyle and culture and Royal Holloway by creating a home away from home. 

 

Some of the events will consist of the following:

  • Social Events

  • Afro-beat music events

  • Cooking class for some of the most well-renowned foods within East Africa

  • Football Matches

  • Sip and Paints 

  • Movie nights

  • Debates and Talks

  • Fundraising Events

Autumn Elections 2025

This election will fill positions for our remaining Community Officers, who are there to represent underrepresented groups of students on campus and the last five members of our Societies, Sports and Opportunities Executive, who work with the VP Societies and Sport to develop policy and plans in their area of engagement. As well, this election will elect the final School Rep for the School of EPMS.
