If you answered yes to any of the questions above, you should consider running to become a School Rep!  

 

Championing the academic interests of students central to the work done by the Students’ Union, and we are strongly invested in the ensuring the feedback given by students is listened to and acted upon efficiently and effectively.  

 

To achieve this this level of student representation, there are 6 elected School Reps, one representing each school. They are the fundamental bridge between academic departments, student voice, and the University, and form the highest level of voluntary posts within the academic representation structure. They are tasked with ensuring the views of the students are represented at school level meetings, and work closely with senior course reps within their school and report up to the VP Education and attend meetings such as Education Executive and School Boards.

  • Becoming a School Rep gives you the opportunity to make a direct impact on your School! Feedbacking the academic interests of your fellow students to the VP Education and as Education Executive and School Boards to create positive change on the education you and your peers are receiving. 
  • The role would offer you the opportunity to a diverse range of important skills, and you can gain experience in leading events and contributing to important meetings, all of which can add an impressive boost your CV. 
  • The role is part-time, allowing you to continue studying alongside, and you’ll be working alongside a team of Course Reps and Senior Course Reps who are just as passionate about representing their course mates.

Nominating yourself for the position of School Rep couldn’t be easier! Nominations are now open (17th Jan), all you need to do is click the button below and register your interest with your Student ID number and a few personal details, then you’re good to go!
