It’s official! Nominations are now open for the Leadership Elections to register your interest in becoming one of the Sabbatical Officers or School reps for 2025/2026! 

Are you interested in shaping the future for Royal Holloway students? Are you passionate about championing the interests of students on the issues that matter most? Do you want to improve the university experience for students just like you? 

If the answer to any of the above is yes, then you should consider nominating yourself for sabbatical officer or school reps! This is an unmissable opportunity to lead the student community and implement positive change.  

Nominating yourself couldn’t be easier, all you need to do is click the link below and fill in the form. You have until the 9th February to submit your nomination. Don’t worry, all you need at this stage is your Student ID number, a couple of personal details, and you’re good to go! Start your Student Leadership journey now!

Find out what roles are available below: 

• Sabbatical Officers: There are 4 full-time paid sabbatical officers who lead the work of the Students’ Union on the issues that are voted most important by students.  They work on a range of issues relating to student life, listening to your thoughts and opinions while running campaigns and working with the relevant people and bodies to implement positive policy changes. Check out what your sabbs have been up to this year! 

• School reps: Each school has a rep who will advocate for the academic interests of students throughout the academic year. This is a part-time voluntary role working closely with the VP Education on gathering feedback and implementing positive change in high level meetings such as the School Education Committee and School Boards. Take a look at the work done by your School reps!

The Leadership Elections look a bit different this year! With the launch of RHSU Priority 8, students can vote for 8 priorities which matter most to them from a list of 20. This will guide the work of the SU and ensure resources are focused on student-elected work. Make sure your voice is heard and vote for your Priority 8 this year! 

Key dates 

• 17 January: Nominations open 

• 9 February: Nominations close 

• 11 March: Voting opens 

• 13 March: Voting closes and results announced
