We know how difficult it is to manage expenses as a student, particularly with the ongoing Cost of Living Crisis. We put together a list of shops that offer discounts, suggestions on how to save money, financial wellbeing tips and more!
The Cost of Living Crisis is affecting nearly all areas of student life, and at times managing your finances can feel like walking a tightrope. From tuition fees, living costs, to housing bills and social spending, it can be difficult to know how and where you can save some money.
Shops & Websites
Signing up to sites such as UniDays, StudentBeans, and Save the Student can be great in finding discounts and offers to help make your money go that little bit further. However, there is also an array of student discounts available in the local area, check it out below (and don’t forget your Student ID!).
- Eating out or grabbing a coffee in town? Esquires Coffee and Fluffy Fluffy offer 10% off for students. Or for a late-night pizza Fireaway, Dominos and Papa Johns offer up to 50% off.
- For Health and Beauty: Boots and Superdrug both offer 10% student discount with their loyalty card schemes, and Holland and Barrett offers 20% off with UniDays. On selected days and timings, L’Scissors offers 15% off, and SJ Forbes offers 25%. Check out their websites for further details!
- Want to catch the latest film? Concessions for students are available during off-peak hours at the Everyman Cinema in Egham.
How to Save Money on Shopping?
Although some stores don’t offer student discounts, you can earn points, save money on selected items, and access rewards when you spend!
- Save on your meal deal and much more on your weekly shop with a Tesco Clubcard.
- Signing up for loyalty schemes with Subway, Starbucks, Costa, Caffe Nero, and Waitrose also offer exclusive deals tailored to your spending habits.
Some shops don’t advertise their student discount, so never be afraid to ask in store if they offer one. Little savings can go a long way! Have you found more deals and discounts in Egham? Let us know!
