About us

Newly formed Somali Society at RHUL with an aim to represent the Somali culture and history while also providing a space to discuss issues facing the Somali people back home as well as the diaspora.

Membership

A membership will allow you to attend all Somali Society events throughout the academic year.

Events and Activities

We have various events planned throughout the year such as:

Social events in collaboration with Somali societies across London
Cultural events displaying the beautiful and fascinating Somali culture
Educational lectures
End of year celebratory events
Participation in SYFI fundraising

Autumn Elections 2024

This election will fill positions for our remaining Community Officers, who are there to represent underrepresented groups of students on campus and the last six members of our Societies, Sports and Opportunities Executive, who work with the VP Societies and Sport to develop policy and plans in their area of engagement.
