Art

About us

The RHUL Art Society is an inclusive space and community where students can create, learn, share, and have fun with all forms of art. Whether your skillset is simple doodles, still life paintings, somewhere in between or beyond, all are welcome. Here in Art Soc we encourage you to let your creativity take the lead!

We love and respect all types of art in our society so whether you doodle in your lecture notes, or are skilled in the finests of paints, or perhaps you're interested in digital art and animation, or any other form of art under the sky, this is the society for you! Come along to one of our sessions and let your creativity flow! We welcome students from any background, course, and degree of artistic skill.

Throughout the year we will host various events for you to explore all forms of art; learning whilst also having fun in the process! We are also planning various collaborations with other societies here at Royal Holloway giving you the opportunity to combine your love of art with other interests. We’ve had various successful collaborations with GameSoc, Witchcraft Society, LGBT Soc, Anime and Manga Soc, the Student Union and many more! We are also open to collaborations with newly made societies and societies we’ve never collaborated with before.

We hope to see you soon!

Membership

With an ArtSoc membership, you get various benefits such as exclusive access to exhibitions and events on- and off-campus. A membership also ensures that you will get free or heavily discounted access to some paid ArtSoc events.

Your membership fees help us maintain the society’s finances and purchase art supplies for you to enjoy. Furthermore, being a member of ArtSoc will get you the opportunity to meet several like-minded individuals and learn together in pursuit of improvement.
