About us

Hello and welcome to Hollowarts! We are the Harry Potter Society, a fun, engaging, and friendly society for all those who love the Wizarding world. Whether you know all the books by heart or love watching the films (or have done neither: that's ok too!), we'd love for you to join us on our adventures throughout the year. From pub socials to the Triwizard tournament and our famous Yule Ball, there's something for absolutely everyone!

Our aim is to provide you with a Hollowarts family, a place where you will meet some of your best friends in uni. Even if you're a complete Muggle (and haven't read or watched Harry Potter), but are interested in it, we are the society for you. So what are you waiting for? Come on and join us on our ride as we explore all there is to know about the Wizarding World!

Membership

Our standard membership lasts for the entire academic year and allows you free access to all our regular events. The membership fee will go towards running the club and providing funding for any socials we hold.

Some special events will be ticketed, such as our Yule Ball in December or our trip to the Warner Bros Studios in London.

If the cost of an event ever prevents you from attending, please feel free to reach out to our treasurer or president, as they will be able to discuss arrangements (through the SU access fund, or by setting up payment by installments). We want to be as inclusive as possible, and understand that student finance can be incredibly tricky. That doesn't mean you have to miss out on the fun though!
