After a bumper day of Varsity fixtures for our Bears against Surrey Stags, it's time to come down to the Union Venue to celebrate or drown your sorrows!

Ticket information

£5 Advance

£7 On the door

Admission

Tickets will guarantee you entry to the event until 11pm, after this time entry will be dependent on venue capacity until last entry at midnight.

Identification

Students must bring their Royal Holloway College Card and photographic proof of age ID (driving licence, passport, PASS card) to every event they wish to attend for identification purposes.

Event tickets

From the start of Term Two, we will be operating an electronic ticketing system from purchase through to admission.

All tickets purchased online (via the RHSU website or StudentLink app) are automatically assigned to your personal account and then accessed on the door by swiping your College card.

All sales are final, and refunds are not available on tickets once they have been purchased (including duplicates or purchases made in error, tickets bought for the wrong event or non-attendance due to personal choice, illness or injury).

Transfers

Your student College card and tickets are not transferrable – i.e. you cannot lend it to anyone else to get into the venue.

Please note the following changes regarding refunds and ticket transfers:

  • The ability to transfer a ticket has been removed.
  • The ability to receive a refund up to 48 hours before an event has been removed.

For more information, please see our updated Purchasing Terms & Conditions.

Bringing guests to the SU

Please note that due to COVID-19 safety measures, no guests are currently allowed within the Union Venue.

COVID-19 entry requirements

As well as bringing your Royal Holloway College Card and photographic proof of age ID, you'll also need to show proof of one of the below, preferably via the NHS COVID Pass:

DOUBLE VACCINATION - you received your second COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 whole days ago (or 14 whole days after one dose of the Janssen vaccine).

or

NEGATIVE TEST - a negative lateral flow or PCR test taken in the 48 hours prior to the event.

or

NATURAL IMMUNITY - evidenced by a positive PCR test result for COVID-19, lasting for 180 days from the date of the positive test and following completion of the self-isolation period.

If you live, or were vaccinated in, an overseas country, we will also be accepting EU (EU Digital COVID Certificate) and USA (CDC card) vaccine certificates.

NHS COVID Pass

An NHS COVID Pass shows your coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination details or test results.

You can get a digital version using the NHS App or using the online NHS COVID Pass service. You can download it as a PDF or get it sent to you in an email.

Please note, the COVID-19 vaccination card that you receive after your vaccine is not considered acceptable proof of vaccination.

Find out more

If you are unable to use the NHS COVID Pass, or either of the additional certificates listed above, you will need to provide proof of a negative lateral flow test, reported and demonstrated via a text message or email from the NHS self-report tool. The test needs to be taken in the 48 hours prior to the event.

Lateral flow testing

The on-campus, asymptomatic testing site is now closed but you can still take a lateral flow test (LFT) by ordering home test kits from the NHS. If you're living in halls, you can collect your ordered test kits from Founder's West (FW40) from 10:00-13:00 or 13:30-18:00. We strongly encourage you to take two LFTs a week to help protect our campus community.

Cashless campus

All of our venues are cashless and will remain so in the 2021/22 academic year. We are aware that when starting university, some of you will not yet have a bank account and if you’re an international student, you may not have a UK bank account when you arrive in the UK to study. To facilitate this, all students will be able to top up their College card account before arriving on campus, using Upay.

Accessibility

As your Students' Union, we're keen to promote equality of opportunity for people with disabilities and to take the necessary steps to meet their requirements - that's why we've ensured that everything we do is accessible to as many of you as possible.

All of our venues are wheelchair accessible via shallow ramps; you can find out more about our venues and view our AccessAble pages by heading to our Accessibility page.

If you or someone you know requires access to special facilities, please email venues@su.rhul.ac.uk and our friendly team will do their best to meet your needs.
