What to do with your e-ticket
Your College Card will automatically have your ticket added to it once payment is completed online. You simply need to turn up at the event with your College Card and photographic proof of age ID (driving licence, passport, PASS card or government ID) or a signing in wristband (obtained via 'fast track entry' as detailed below).
You'll also need to show proof of one of the below, preferably via the NHS COVID Pass:
DOUBLE VACCINATION - you received your second COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 whole days ago (or 14 whole days after one dose of the Janssen vaccine).
or
NEGATIVE TEST - a negative lateral flow or PCR test taken in the 48 hours prior to the event.
or
NATURAL IMMUNITY - evidenced by a positive PCR test result for COVID-19, lasting for 180 days from the date of the positive test and following completion of the self-isolation period.
If you live, or were vaccinated in, an overseas country, we will also be accepting EU (EU Digital COVID Certificate) and USA (CDC card) vaccine certificates.
NHS COVID Pass
An NHS COVID Pass shows your coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination details or test results.
You can get a digital version using the NHS App or using the online NHS COVID Pass service. You can download it as a PDF or get it sent to you in an email.
Please note, the COVID-19 vaccination card that you receive after your vaccine is not considered acceptable proof of vaccination.
Find out more
If you are unable to use the NHS COVID Pass, or either of the additional certificates listed above, you will need to provide proof of a negative lateral flow test, reported and demonstrated via a text message or email from the NHS self-report tool. The test needs to be taken in the 48 hours prior to the event.
Testing on campus
Lateral flow testing is available Monday-Friday (8am-4pm) from the asymptomatic testing site situated at The Hub. There's no need to book a testing slot, you can just drop-in whenever it's convenient for you. Alternatively, you can use a home test kit that can be ordered from the NHS.
Fast track entry
If you want fast track entry on the night you can exchange your e-ticket for a wristband on the day of the event at the ‘Wristband Exchange’. This will take place in the following location:
Union Helpdesk - Midday to 8pm
Please bring your College Card and photographic proof of age ID (driving licence, passport, PASS card or government ID), as well as proof of either double vaccincation, a negative test, or natural immunity (as detailed above).
Please note that all ticket holders need to be present when exchanging for a wristband and wristbands must be placed on your arm at the time of collection.
We cannot refund any wristbands that are lost between collection and the event start so please ensure you look after them.
Transferring a ticket
Online tickets may be transferred to another individual at the following location on the day of the event:
Union Helpdesk - Midday to 8pm
The person whom you are transferring your ticket to must be present, have a valid ID and possess proof of either double vaccincation, a negative test, or natural immunity as outlined above.
Cashless campus
All of our venues are cashless and will remain so in the 2021/22 academic year. We are aware that when starting university, some of you will not yet have a bank account and if you’re an international student, you may not have a UK bank account when you arrive in the UK to study. To facilitate this, all students will be able to top up their College Card account before arriving on campus, using Upay.
Whilst we strongly discourage bringing large amounts of cash onto campus, we understand that some of you have do not have any other means to pay for essential items during your first few weeks. Therefore, up until 31 October 2021, if you are unable to top up your Upay account with a credit or debit card, you can load up to £250 onto your Upay College Card account in cash at either the The Hub or Kingswood reception.
Accessibility
As your Students' Union, we're keen to promote equality of opportunity for people with disabilities and to take the necessary steps to meet their requirements - that's why we've ensured that everything we do is accessible to as many of you as possible.
All of our venues are wheelchair accessible via shallow ramps; you can find out more about our venues and view our AccessAble pages by heading to our Accessibility page.
If you or someone you know requires access to special facilities, please email venues@su.rhul.ac.uk and our friendly team will do their best to meet your needs.
