Let's Talk About Sex Work: The Panel Discussion

The main event of our Let's Talk About Sex campaign, Let's Talk About Sex Work is an opportunity to understand the nature of the sex work industry across the UK, and to listen to sex workers and their experience.

The panel will be chaired by Willow Wong, VP Welfare and Diversity, who will be speaking to two guests, Fez and Molly, from SWARM (Sex Worker Advocacy Movement), one of whom is the founder of DecrimNow.

"Fez is a migrant sex worker and activist with the Sex Worker Advocacy & Resistance Movement (SWARM) who campaign for the full decriminalisation of sex work. Fez’s areas of interest include sex work and disability, the legal conflation of sex work and sex trafficking, and the ways in which anti-immigration policies are disguised as anti-trafficking efforts."

"Molly is a member of the Sex Worker Advocacy and Resistance Movement and an organiser with the Women’s Strike. They are a founding member of Decrim Now, a collaboration of sex workers, academics, politicians and allies dedicated to decriminalising the sex industry across the UK. Molly sits on the Executive Committee of the Green Party of England and Wales."

We'll be exploring the relationship between sex work and higher education, and how it transcends the traditional narratives of survival or liberation.
