Salary: £23,612 p.a. Sabbatical positions are full-time jobs, complete with the pay and benefits to match.

Sweet holidays. You'll get 22 days holiday, plus bank holidays and an extra seven days at Christmas. You also get your birthday off. Just saying.

National discussions. You'll also have the chance to participate in national discussions on higher education and student representation.

Unique Experience. As a trustee of the Students’ Union, you will have direct decision making power when it comes to the strategy of a large organisation, something most people only experience in corporate roles in their thirties.

Changing campus. As a sabbatical officer, you will have the ability to make tangible change on campus, and fulfil the needs of students across the university.

Smashing campaigns. You will be given the opportunity to lead on high impact campaigns, from sexual health awareness to recorded lectures.

Advancement. At the end of your term, Students' Union staff will provide you with guidance and advice on how to advance your career after leaving the Union.

Educate it. As a sabb, you will gain knowledge of the inner workings of the higher education sector.

Training As part of your appointment, you will receive excellent training opportunities throughout the year.

Representation. You will be representing part of a 9000-strong student community.

Informing policies. You will be part of a group which informs policies of the Students’ Union.

Campaigning. You’ll be able to campaign on issues that matter to you and that affect a huge range of students.

Support. Support from the Students’ Union will be available throughout your term.

Networking. You will gain contacts throughout the College, and the higher education sector.
