Vice-President Societies & Media
Chris Harris
Manifesto
I will use my experience as both a member of the SU Staff Team and President of Computing Society to encourage Societies to push themselves to be the best they possibly can, to set and achieve significant goals and earn the attention and credit their hard work deserves.
I will dedicate my work to providing publicity to our societies and providing the opportunity for them to present large-scale events and productions. I believe there are so many different societies who share so much knowledge and talent, and if they come together, through means of collaboration, communication and a will to succeed, can provide their members, our students and our community with truly special experiences on a whole new level. Societies are some of the most competitive groups of Royal Holloway, and together I believe they could achieve something enriching and unique.
I want to share my experiences, both positive and negative and offer ideas and honest advice for the benefit of any society that seeks it out. To this end, I want societies to feel confident in approaching the SU Team whether it's to brag about their accomplishments, give updates on their plans or ask for help.
I want societies to be confident in expressing their concerns and their needs, and I want to represent them and provide them the best assistance the SU can, to allow for them to achieve everything they set out to.
I will not only represent our societies, but act alongside them as a part of the same machine, and share their goals.
