StudentLink - The Royal Holloway SU App

Our app is powered by StudentLink and is an extension of the functionality you have available through the main Union website. In order to use the app you need to be a registered member of the Students' Union, you automatically become a member when you enrol unless you decide to opt out. If you have opted out you'll see an error message. Don't worry, opting back into the Students' Union is easy, so drop helpdesk@su.rhul.ac.uk an email with information regarding the problem you have experienced and our team will look into the issue and get you up and running in no time.

After listening to student feedback in our annual Rate Your Union survey, we decided we needed to step up and deliver an app to meet your needs. You’ll now have a huge range of our services at your fingertips, with quicker and easier access than ever before.

Vote In Elections

Democracy underpins everything we do as a Union, and ensuring you have your say on the way the Students’ Union is run, is at the top of our agenda. Every year we hold elections for a number of different roles – Sabbatical Officers, Groups, Course Reps, the list goes on…

We had already announced plans for our Course Reps Elections to move online, in line with our other elections processes, but we want to encourage more students to take part. The addition of the app will give a much quicker and accessible platform to cast your votes, and we hope that this will help to engage a wider audience with democratic decisions within the Union.

Clubs And Societies

The app will integrate seamlessly with our sports clubs and societies, allowing you to purchase memberships and tickets. You’ll also be able to keep tabs on the latest offers, events, campaigns, activities and news.

Early Bird Tickets

Something that came up frequently in this year’s Rate Your Union survey was the cost of attending our evening events. So what did we do? We listened and took action!

In a big shakeup to how we sell tickets to our core club nights on Wednesday and Friday nights, we are introducing discounted early bird tickets exclusive to the app. These will be available for just £4 when bought through the app 7+ days in advance of an event! Online/on-the-door prices will remain at £5/£7 respectively, so the app really is going to be the place to be to secure your tickets for the lowest possible price.

While we would love to scrap entry fees altogether, this just simply wouldn’t be sustainable for us – you can check out more about how we make the decisions around our finances on our Value For Money page.

Digital First

We are always striving to deliver on our digital first ambition, as set out in our Strategic Plan, and the introduction of the app will go a long way to providing you with an improved service through digital means. So while you’re busy lapping up our discounted club night tickets, just remember to get involved with the democratic decisions that drive everything we do as a Union, and vote in our elections. We’d say that’s a fair deal.
